Luke picks up phrases from all of his favorite cooking shows (He is OBSESSED with Giada, and his 'ol stand-by is Rachel Ray. He likes to watch Paula Deen once in a while, too). My Dad watched the boys this night so we could go out and get some Christmas shopping done, and while we were gone, he gave my dad a little foodie wisdom. My dad told me about these afterwards.
"Ya know pepperoni has pepper in it, but salami has a pound of all purpose flour in it."
On mac & cheese...
"If you don't have any cheese, then you just have mack-in!"
And a bonus from another day....
Luke started his cooking show obsession with 30 Minute Meals over a year ago, so Rachel's silly lingo has become a sort of cooking standard for him. He has since moved on to loving Giada for some reason, and one day while we were watching her he said..."Mom, why doesn't she call it EVOO?"
